Contexts
Every page is a reading page or a tool page, seen in one or more of five contexts. Each context has its own frame and rules.
The five contexts
Someone drives one screen for a room. Projector, read from 5 m.
One idea per frame, a full-sentence headline, large type, a page number, a bar for previous and next, fits without scrolling.
One person at a laptop or desktop, hands on the controls.
Dense, controls in view, side by side, light and dark.
A phone, in the room or on the go.
One column, 44 px targets, swipe, nothing only on hover.
An unattended display in a gallery or room. Nobody drives it.
No chrome, dark by default, a looping reel, idle reset, large captions, a QR code to carry on by phone.
Cards, handouts, PDFs and the portfolio.
The books' page system: black on white, a 6-column grid, folios, the mark, QR codes at a scannable size. The portfolio's format bridges print and the web: the same HTML pages are the site and the PDF.
